Takes a little time to open up. Kind of a mess initially but comes together some after a few sips. Some age could make this pretty nice if the sweetness and malts balance out a little bit more.

On tap at the brewery. Big toffe malt up front, followed by some sticky sweetness. No sign of the 11% ABV initially, it creeps up pretty quietly in the background. Golden/light amber body, creamy mouth fell. Nice!

Draft tonight at The Taphouse... Pours mostly clear dark amber with a thin light khaki head... Pretty thick expected maltiness across the board, but a firm bitterness with a pronounced grassy hoppiness reminds you of the imitated terroir. Not getting a whole lot of English yeastiness, instead the malt is definitely doing the heavy lifting... No doubt this has some punch, but the EtOH never gets hot or solvent.. Pretty complex and still surprisingly rich given the simple ingredient list. I think this will age nicely, I like the fact that there are no CCC hops there to muddy the waters with aging.
