Draft at brewery. My first take: a big fat, stout-y Kriek. Makes sense? Very complex. Pitch black pour, small ring of head. Smoky, sweet aroma. Taste brings more cherry sweetness and some gum drying tartness. A real gender bender of a beer, tasty.

On tap at the brewpub in Boise.
Clear, but nearly black body with a very good head and fine lacing.
Aroma mainly reflects the cherries and dark malts, but the flavor is bolder and moderately tart.
Medium-full body.
