a new one in honor of the new arrested development season, the name cracked us right up, being fans of the show and all. its a brut ipa done with a whole heap of blueberry, and its a really tasty beer, they now have they two best brut ipa types i have had in idaho so far. this has a deep lavender purple color, some haze, and a fizzy head that doesnt hang around too long like a seltzer or something. the aroma has a bit of sweetness from the fruit, not as dry as some bruts get, but there is also a cool tannnic thing from the blueberries that give it a flash of tartness that more than balance the light sweet element. the hops are citrus forward and seem in service of the berries here, a great match, wonderfully well selected, but somewhat light on the bitterness, more dry hopped than anything else, and i almost wish for a little more hop punch in the finish to keep it ipa-like, but the flavors are fantastic. the carbonation is also on point, carrying the natural blueberry all the way through the finish, and the body is light enough to drink a bunch of these. pretty impressive and clever beer overall, the highlight of our recent visit here, and one i would go back for. their brut seems perfectly suited to fruit, wine grapes, blackberries, and pineapple would all be cool for other iterations...
