an insane likeness to actual key lime pie in this beer, wow, really cool effort, and to serve it on nitro makes perfect sense, this is the real deal, mouthfeel and all! soft hazy look to this, lots of head from the tap at the brewery. aroma is sharp natural lime, fresh vanilla bean, and a creaminess i am not used to in a sour beer, almost a dairy thing, like custard or something, kind of curious with the lacto souring and the tartness of the limes, but real agreeable too, mouthwatering and light. the flavor is next level, there has to be vanilla and milk sugar in here, its soft and sweet, not too much so though, and the lime is bold and natural in here, even obviously key lime specifically which is cool the vanilla is strong, but the sour pucker helps the beer be dry overall, so interesting, i can hardly set the glass down. the wheat fluffs up the feel, and with the nitro, its amazingly silky for a sour, really does have that airy pie texture to it, super impressive. the lime and the vanilla go so well with the clean souring, and i get just a little lemon in here too. way more body than expected, btu right for what they are doing with this, and overall just a really cool berliner. i usually get turned off by vanilla in sour beer, and also by flavored berliner, like nobody will let a classic be a classic anymore, but this one was really really good. the beers in here have been so interesting and delicious! keep it up!
