16 oz can from Boise Co-op. Pale golden pour, spotty head. Aroma is tropical with some floral notes. Taste is melon, mango, pine. Very gentle, subtle.

a tasty low calorie and low carb ipa here, dry and bubbly and quite robustly dry hopped. its a little sloppy to me in the finish though, fresh and yummy as it is, like an over dry hopped greenness and bite rises up and lingers on the swallow, not quite harsh, but not as refined as it should be, or as i want it to be for a beer so light, it slows down the drinkability and takes away the delicate mouthfeel this should seemingly have. that said, i like the combination of hops, idaho 7 is obvious in this, and there are cool notes of sliced citrus, dank weed, and some pine from the centennial. its northwestern in its aroma and flavor, but the malt is almost totally dropped out of it, light as can be in taste and feel on the grain side, i almost miss a little pinch of crystal, dare i say it! the lightest crackery pils malt note comes in, but this is really minimal. great carbonation and potential refreshment value if it werent for the vegetal greenness at the end. close to great, but in need of some cleaning up in my opinion. i have dug all the beers in this mixtape series so far, and reckon woodland is way ahead of the local game when it comes to the hoppy stuff. this is unique and better than other health conscious ipa types ive had for the most part, but they need to tidy up the hops in the finish. doesnt warm up great either, but i love these guys, and appreciate the effort here.
