Interesting beer, I believe hawaiians are the original purveyors of pineapple flavored beer, anyways not too hoppy, not too fruity, a great summer beer.

another tasty beer from woodland empire, a hazy ipa with pineapple, and its neither too hazy, nor has too much pineapple to be appealing, like its light to drink without grain heft, sediment, or refinement issues, and the fruit is present and complimentary to the hops without taking over the beer and making it juice over beer or too sticky sweet, really nice proportions here and perfect for the dead of summer, i like the lower abv on it too for the style, very drinkable as this sort of thing goes. the pineapple is natural but not acidic like fresh pineapple, more of a canned crushed or chunks thing, sweet and just ever so slightly tangy, nice with the hops here, which come on as honeydew, green grape, and light spruce or juniper to me, very little bitterness here but no shortage of hop character through the whole thing. smooth and simple really, with a nice fluffy base to it but not a ton of grain flavor despite a little color and some moderate residual sweetness, and a rather clean fermentation, drier than a lot of fruited ipa types ever are but not objectively dry as such, and i think that makes it almost refreshing. great freshness, high carbonation, and overall a really unique and enjoyable hop forward beer that should have really wide appeal. i dont always love their hoppy stuff, but they nailed this one!

12 oz can from Boise Co-op. Bright golden with light haze, thin foamy head, streaky lacing. Light citrusy aroma with some bready malts. Taste continues with gentle citrus, pineapple flavor and a soft bitterness at the finish. This goes down way to easy.

Review # 1401
After I reviewed my 1400th beer, I realized that my reviews are mechanical. I want my reviews to have more meat and less mechanical. I chose this beer because it was a hazy IPA with fruit added. Interestingly, most NEIPA has pineapple notes in it from the hops. The beer just came from the fridge, and the temperature is about 42 degrees. The label reminds me of the game lemmings, except animated pineapples are pushing others off a ledge. The brewery did an exceptional job on this label. A pleasant hiss emitted from the can when I opened it up. A hard pour of the beer created a firm two-fingered head. The bright white foam generated a billowy and airy. The head's retention of the beer is determined and lasting. Chunky thick foam clings to the glass as it dissipated. The color of the beer is SRM 4, pale straw with amber-gold hues. This beer is not as hazy as many NEIPA I have drunk. Overall, the appearance of the beer is beautiful.
The initial aromas in the beer are pineapples, oranges, and floral esters. Next, I smell toasted crackers, fresh-cut grass, herbal, lemons, mangos, and earthy.
The first sip of the beer, I taste pineapple, oranges, bay leaves, and toasted crackers. Next, I taste lemons, floral esters, hay, mangos, grapefruit, papaya, earthiness, and pine.
The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonated and slightly astringent.
The body of the beer is medium-minus, medium carbonation, and a medium finish.
The initial impression of this beer is where are the vibrant flavors of the hops. This beer is less than a month old. The hops taste like a six-month-old beer. The pineapple in the beer is there but muted. The hop profile has a combination of NEIPA and WCIPA. I feel this beer is stranded in the middle of both styles. The malt has a solid backbone and could support more hops. This beer is decent, yet I would not seek it out again. The grade I would give this beer is a B to B-. I just wanted bright flavors and more defined.

12oz can into a pint glass.
A: Very much not-hazy straw/yellow color with effervescence showing and minimal head and lace.
S: Fruit and pineapple, pineapple juice, citrus/orange, sweet grapefruit; hints of crackery pale malt.
T: More of the same, light pale may character is buried beneath soft tones of grapefruit, pineapple, citrus, light notes of pith and faint bitterness.
MF: Light bodied.
O: A decent lower abv IPA with some nice notes of pineapple and fruit, though not overly expressive.
