16oz can at share. Golden pour, skin of head. Fruity aroma with notes of vanilla. Taste continues the vanilla, muted berry flavors. Soft and gentle, mildly sweet. Smooth.

i was surprised to see a milkshake ipa pour so clear, not hazy at all, cool! its golden in color, high shine and with a full inch of white head from the tap, great retention and some lace as i drink it down. its immediately desserty to me, overdone just a bit, forced vanilla, honeycomb, generic malt sweetness too, and very little that says ipa, i think thats real generous. it definitely doesnt need the lactose, i get it from a recipe standpoint, but for me, if you are going to blast it with this much vanilla, the lactose is over the time, if you want it in there, you have to dial back the vanilla some, this sticks to my teeth and tongue, even though its not heavy beer at all, just more sweetness than is really reasonable, nice as it does taste. there is some citrus that kind of takes the form of candied orange from the hops with all the sweetness, but to call this an ipa is a stretch for me, some hop bitterness would add a lot, and that balance is needed here, but it never comes. this is super modern, and maybe its lost on me some, is this whats hot out there in the world right now? i cant say its not well executed, its very well made, but some recipe choices are strange. this was one and done for me, i appreciate it, but i dont necessarily like it all that much. a bit over flavored and overly sugary for my tastes...

A 16oz Milkshake IPA can from the Woodland Empire Mixtape series, poured into a pint glass. Pours hazy pale gold with a fluffy white head; big impressions of vanilla and lactose, and citrus/orange hop character that leads to a creamsicle/dreamsicle flavor profile reminiscent of orange sherbet. Creamy, lactose-boosted body with minimal bitterness. A sweet and tasty milkshake IPA, not GREAT but solid.
