Draft at Woodland. Deep golden body, clear, small soapy head, lacing. Full bready aroma, hint of caramel. Taste is grainy, malty, fresh bread, medium weight and a dry back end.

still sturdy but less sweet and outwardly malty than many examples of the style, a very well made beer, and for all the love these guys get for their crazy beers, i do not think they get enough attention for their lagers, which always seem to hit whether they are classically styled or outlandish, the quality here is very high. i like it being less nutty and toasted and sort of rich, this is drier while still having the body, more cereal character than anything to me. the yeast is right on, european to me and very flavorful, drying this out nicely but leaving a breadiness in its wake, it also seems to bring out the mineral profile of the water which i like in an old world lager of almost any persuasion. round and soft feel to this, adequate carbonation, fluffy body that is definitely medium, and this both refreshes as a pale lager but also satisfies at a somewhat deeper and heartier level. not a radical brew by any stretch for these guys, and as such maybe an easy one to overlook, but it really is a nice example of the style and the execution is dialed.
