a tasty new stout with chocolate and caramel in it, definitely creates the snickers vibe, and even though there are no peanuts in it, it kind of smells and tastes a little bit like there is, a cool trick with the malt to get a bit of that nutty character out of it. this is mighty sweet, but its also very good, a pint is enough, but its also not too much. shiny obsidian in the glass with an average off white head and a little lace. the nose is more chocolate than caramel, owing to some honest dark chocolate character to from the grain, along with a sweeter added almost hersheys syrup complexion. the roast is deep enough for it to smell balanced. definitely sweet through the flavor, hints of maple and honey along with the obvious caramel aspect, they could have fermented this drier, but then you risk losing it. medium body, a little sugar on the teeth at the end of each sip, and that cool nuttiness permeating. overall the flavors are there, and thats the point. its a desserty beer, but i liked it quite well. always something clever on tap in here, these guys dont get enough credit for being awesome, definitely one of the best in the state...
