another excellent hoppy beer from these guys, nothing radical here, but the quality is real high, this might be what these guys do best, despite all the fun stuff always on tap too. rather clear, a little richer in color than many of their others, not quite red but a little bronze toned, average white head from the tap at the brewery, looks nice, sturdy, good for cold weather. the hops are a mix of old and new, i get pine and grapefruit in the nose, more tropical fruits leading the way in the taste, pineapple, orange peel, fruity sativa, a light woodiness too with the slightly toasted grain base, good balance, woodsy and wintery to me, but not heavy and still rather modern. lemongrass and melon fit in too, right in the middle, and more in that direction as it warms. some honey sweetness to the malt but not as rich as it looks, and this is fermented pretty clean. good structure, hearty but not heavy, and smooth in texture. well made beer, cool mix of hops, i like simcoe and cashmere together, and i think they did a great job with this. love the mixtape series!

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Mildly cloudy golden pour, creamy white head, rings of lacing. Beautiful. Malty aroma, overripe fruit, melon. Taste brings more bold fruity flavors, big bready malts, thick, creamy feel. Really luscious. Cheers to 8 years!
