16oz can from Boise Co-op. Almost clear golden pour, high, rocky white head. Grainy, pale malty aroma, light lemony notes. Taste is clean, crisp, mild sweetness, biscuity. Overall bready feel to this gorgeous looking brew

neat new lager from these guys, been ages since ive had or seen anything new from them, been all quiet for the most part since their ownership change, so i was excited to see this. very light in appearance, and less cloudy than i expect for the style. its well refined looking, has some shine, light golden in low light, and with a lovely inch of airy white head from the tap, pretty pint. the nose and taste show a little more malt character than it looks like it has, mildly toasted to me, a biscuit thing, baked, but also german type pils malt, crackery and earthy, off dry in the taste, but its good. more here than i think is common in the style. the hops also seem slightly turned up, there is some herbal bitterness through this, a light tangerine note in the middle, and a little dankness even when it warms up a bit, not out of balance, but more robust than the imports in this respect for sure. i dont get much from the yeast surprisingly, less european than the grain to my palate, but its not totally neutral either, a little bready thing to it. good balance overall then, easy drinking without being incredibly light, a four season lager with a bit more character than some of their other lighter ones. fantastic carbonation. doesnt exactly hit the keller mark for me in terms of style, but i like the beer a lot. curious to see what kind of changes, if any, happen with their beers. i liked this with spicy fried cauliflower buffalo wings!
