This batch was canned in April, so I grabbed a 12oz can from the local market. Pours out a glowing pale orange with moderate haze a smallish finger of white head. Fairly expressive nose for a 5% brew, inviting notes of citrus and grapefruit. Very drinkable body that doesn't sacrifice on too much flavor at this abv, there are notes of melon, stone fruit, and citrus, all very light and inviting.

there was a time when i would have ranked woodland at the top of the local heap, but too many changes, temporary closures, brewers in and out, taproom changing from an arcade to a bottle shop and back again, a radical rebrand, its been hard to stay excited about them, its a name only at this point, a shame, but this one is good, modern, pretty clean, and hopefully a step back in the right direction, some consistency would do them awfully well. on tap at the wylder, which kind of elevates everything, but i liked this, easier than the juicy royale, maybe more refined. it pours pale yellow and has a short but airy white head on it, uniform cloudiness but still some brightness, and the hop profile is certainly fruity, citrus up front, coconut and kiwi and green melon later, very light on the bitterness, and only ever so slightly vegetal. the grain base is nice and it holds the hops well, earthy and grounded, i think this has nice balance for what it is, and seems more or less clean on the ferment, not exotic but well executed, and i like it being in the session range, the style seems to be creeping close to 8% abv as a baseline most of the time, so this being a little lighter is a welcome sight. green grape and grapefruit as it warms, and its just a little big in the belly even though its lesser in alcohol. good job overall, perhaps a little unexciting, but its fresh and well made.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy golden pour, abundant white foamy head. Light citrusy aroma, grapefruit. Taste is a muted grapefruit with pillowy, bready malts. Crushable.
