this beer is amazing, frankly its brilliant, a truly elite specimen of rice lager with all of the styles best attributes. improperly added here, as i believe the name and correct spelling is ginkgo, like the tree. i was more or less floored by this on tap, immaculately beautiful and drinkable, resplendent yellow and shimmering, super light and refined looking, gorgeous and consistently rising carbonation with an inch of lasting white head, it looks downright sensational in the glass, lathery foam, peppy pace, light as can be. aroma is somewhat tight, some subtle lager yeast in play for sure, light white florals, not quite to that jasmine level, but probably a rice factor, softly hopped, herbal and verdant there but without any real appreciable bitterness or sensory intensity, trace aromatic sweetness, light white bread and pils type malt maybe lightly european, gentle and mild overall but still distinctive, some minerals, seems right on for spring. the flavor is so clean, so bright, i love it, pushed swiftly by rushing bubbles, the grain is mild with the rice quite obvious, extremely fresh with the floral hop character, some white wine and relaxed lemony fruitiness, sweetness from the grain is there for just a second in the dead middle, and this works towards supreme dryness very quickly after that. its fast but its nuanced, its insanely refreshing, and the rice is somehow the star in a beer that also has a somewhat original hop profile and a lager yeast contribution as well, delightful balance, texture, and overall drinkability. among the best woodland empire beers of all time, and certainly the best thing ive had from them since they closed their space, masterfully done! ill drink plenty of this over the summer this year!

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Clear, pale golden pour, short lived foamy head. Grainy aroma, mildly sweet. Taste is sweet, biscuity, fruity. Dries out towards the finish.
