On tap at Whole Foods in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, spice, citrus zest, and kumquat aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, yeast, spice, chalk, and kumquat flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a chalk like flavor that is weird among the other flavors I am getting.
