On tap at Newhall Refinery in Newhall, CA.
Pours a hazy golden orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, fruit, earth, pepper, yeast, and slight bubblegum aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, fruit, pepper, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas, but there is a better mix going on in the taste to me.
