From the 650 ml. bottle. Dated 03-22-2016 Sampled on May 4, 2016.

This beer is a collaboration between Out.Haus and BearA Irish, which are both located in New Hampshire.

The pour is an attractive looking dark brown to near black with a tremendous, long lasting foamy tan head.

The aroma highlights chocolate, cocoa, and coffee but little in the way of maple. Low to no hop profile.

Medium or better body.

The taste is much like the aroma with maybe an added burnt character with a bitterness that is more abundant on the end than I would have imagined in the aroma. But again, not much in the way of maple and it is a maple stout. So I thought I'd get something more. But generally easy to drink.

No trace of maple in the nose or taste. This was very disappointing. Pours black with minimal head - seems to have an oily sheen floater. Aroma is mostly coffee and dark roasted malt along with some char. Flavor is very over-roasted with sour notes developing over the course of the sip. Finish is very bitter and unbalanced. Again, no maple to be found.
