From a crowler can off tap from the brewery. Dated April 2020. Sampled on June 7, 2020.
It looks exactly the way a stout should look with its deep dark brown to black appearance and tan head that lingers for a long time.
Coffee is what I pick up on the aroma immediately followed by some cocoa chocolate, and only a twist of floral hops.
Good medium to full bodied beer.
The roasted coffee rock the taste more than any other character. It also has a slight sweet note and a lingering semi-dry finish. A decent stout to celebrate this brewery's 5th birthday.
