A well-done imperial stout, maybe a bit too sweet.

Great Dutch version of a stout. Taste terrific and dark.

I visited the Van Moll brewpub on 01OCT15 and had two 0.20l glasses of this, at €3.50 each.
Served in a short, slender snifter, it was jet black and oily, topped with a creamy beige head. Lacing was good, but had no idea what the carbo was like. Had a nice coffee/choco nose, roasty but also a touch sweet. Medium bodied, it also was fairly slick on the tongue.
Tasted of roasty coffee and dark choco with a bit of bitterness. Had some dark fruit mixed in, and the finish was somewhat floral and dry. A bit of the bitterness and roasty action lingered on the palate. Overall, a nice RIS! Prosit!
