This is best before 2028 and comes in at 11% ABV. Pours....black. Makes sense, but different for a barley wine. Nose is surprisingly lacking in aroma. Getting hoppy bitterness, a touch of bourbon, and a touch of caramel. The taste....that's a different story. I am in love with the taste. Definitely along the lines of a Bigfoot from SN, but with bourbon. Nice hop presence - pine and leather throughout. Lots of caramel, some licorice, bourbon, and some dark fruit - figs, raspberries. I am loving the taste on this. There is a bit of alcohol heat, and the mouthfeel is quite dry. Really impressive, and would be fun to see this age for a few years.
