Solid black, just above medium body with a bit more carbonation than most porters. Aroma was roasted malt, bakers chocolate,a little coffee, and it took a while to identify but pork roll. Taste is pretty much the same . Oversll it seems to all come togethor and is a very decent porter that I would look for again

Appearance: black in color with a short 1/2" head that falls to a thin surface covering.Mild lace develops.

Smell: roasted tones with maple syrup sweetness.

Taste: roasted malt, chocolate, maple syrup, liquid smoke, and a hint of the pork roll spice. Bitterness is earthy.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp to start, smoother at the finish.

Overall: a unique beer that has some interesting qualities. Would be great to pair with BBQ dinner. Definitely try it if you can find it.

Near black draft pour with a very light beige head that lingers forever, good lacing. Hoppy nose with some scent of incomplete mash. Taste brings more malt components light chocolate, grain. The hop profile adds a light mouthwash-like taste. Part of me is hoping this is not a tainted keg, and it probably isn't. Above medium body and below average carbonation.

Poured into a challace from the tap. Pours pitch black with a very small light brown head. Smells of chocolate and light spices. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, a little bit of BBQ. Beer is full bodied and a smooth drink, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

750 ml capped bottle

pours black, with nice foamy off-white head. good lacing. aroma is a bit smoky, roasty. the taste is fairly dry, with a distinct smoke flavor. Not sure I'd guess that meat was used without knowing. the mouthfeel is a little different than a normal porter. it's thicker, but a little oily feeling. lingering aftertaste of the the smokey flavor. overall a nice experiment.
