Traded for this recently as I've attempted to get rid of all of the Finback beers that I had in my basement. Date on the bottom off the can was 6/28 with "Schwifty" written above it, which must be a reference that I missed! Lighter than their more typical offerings, the funk was certainly here as this almost seemed like a Belgian IPA once this warmed up and the flavors fully emerged.
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was straw, a bit muted, and somewhat cloudy. Lots of Brux Trois in the nose along with funk, some sour grass, and grape. Those were in the taste as well as this felt like dry wine with some yeast and barnyard notes thrown in for good measure. Light, dry, and not terribly slick, this went down easily given how low the alcoholic content was though I wouldn't categorize this as am American IPA. Some hop oils lingered on my mouth and there's a lemon zest/citrus pith aftertaste that lingered for a while but wasn't terribly easy to pinpoint in the midst of everything...
While it would be easy to have another in a sitting, the odd flavor didn't call for an encore. I'll give credit to Finback for going outside of the box with this but for some reason, this didn't quite work for me. Worth a go once as a pleasant diversion, more than anything else...

16 oz. can dated 6/28/17
Pours hazy cloudy yellow gold with a creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like floral pineapple, lychee, peach, guava, grapefruit, orange citrus, bubblegum candy sweetness, pale crackery malt, with floral earthy grassy pine. Tastes like tart pineapple, lychee, peach core, guava, grapefruit, orange citrus, bubblegum candied sweetness, pale crackery malts, with floral earthy grassy pine. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy with moderate smooth carbonation. Overall a really nice Brux Trois brett IPA.

Brewed with "brux trois" yeast, though, for you purists out there, I could find no indication as to whether it's Saccharomyces Bruxellensis Trois or Brettanomyces Bruxellensis Trois Vrai, or both...
Opaque dark lemonade-yellow body with a fairly big-bubbled white foam head a few fingers high... Left some lace trails behind, and a thin foam cap persisted down to the bottom. Aromas of earthy citrus, like lemon pith and grapefruit peel, with a subtle "barnyard" influence... On the palate got lots of tangy lemony zest and a funky yeast tang... Bright, light, amply carbonated, soft and fresh, with a 6/28/17 canning...
