its always exciting to get to drink new ones from finback, i have come to trust them unequivocally when it comes to the hoppy stuff, and by all counts, this is delicious. it looks so familiar now all pale and washed out and hazy under a churning frothing white head the leaves thick rings on each sip, high starch base. there is a great mix of hops on this, some familiar citra notes in nose and taste, but also some piney elements giving it a little bite, traces of white grape and honeydew melon as well, bold in aroma and flavor. the thing about this one though, is that we had it in the context of several other cool ipas in the same style, and it didnt stand out as unique, although its quality was radiant. the hop profile is so familiar, its like we have all tasted this a million times already, and these days its the something news that turn me on the most. we had a vics secret hop focused ipa, one with spruce and cedar in the session, and a few others that jumped out a bit more at me than this one. no denying that this is delicious and that finback has it figured out, but my knock against it, albeit a very minor one, is that it tastes like a lot of others. still, i love these guys and get all jacked up when i find their beer out there in the market!
