Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a thick bright pale yellow-ed orange color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head. It softly dissipated to leave a sly semi-messy lace.
The aroma smelled like pineapple chunks - full of sweetness with a sly danky oniony earthiness punching some hop spice-like peppery character. Nice level citrusy hops Subtle grassy hoppiness on the back end. Dry hopping sweetness is noticeable.
The flavor meshes the sweetness of the prior aromas to lay down on the oniony earthy character and dry hopped sweet dryness. Sticky pineapple chunky juiciness in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Not much carbonation about this one and honestly, I think a little bit more may have assisted in bringing down some of the stickiness. Though, not cloying, I'd say this was borderline close to it. ABV felt fine. Mild hop burn in the finish, semi-acceptable to me.
Overall, great flavor, great aroma and mostly great feel. I'd have again.

A: The beer is cloudy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a short bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of pineapples and are present in the nose along with hints of dank citrus.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of pineapple along with notes of d
M: It feels just about medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This Imperial IPA has nice aromas and flavors of pineapples and is quite easy to drink because isn't that heavy on the palate and does a very good job at masking any traces of alcohol from the taste.

Canned on/~ 6/16/18
Pours a dense, turbid yellowish orange; a freshly-blended tropical fruit smoothie with a small head and little stands of lacing left behind.
Aroma is grass clippings, overripe peach, and mango, with a nice tropical sweetness bringing up the back.
Taste is a healthy mixture of earthy and fruity flavors: there's guava, orange juice, vinous grape, orange rind, unripened mango, and some dank, wet grass; bitterness at a minimum and some herbal spice in the finish.
The mouthfeel is rather juicy, forgoing any hint of the beer's ABV, and carries its low-medium carbonation excellently.
A fair amount of diverse tropical and earthy flavors packed into this DIPA. The earthy adjuncts hit the right spot, and although the level to which they're interspersed between the fruitier notes can be somewhat off-putting for me, I still have no problem calling this one a solid offering from Finback.
