Really fantastic orange juice hazy brew with a thinning white head. The nose is just jumping out at me from the can. Omg juice heaven. Dank grapefruit juice flavor with a mild bite on the finish. Prickly carbonation and a bit thinner than creamy. Really tasty stuff here.

AR: pineapple, grapefruit, citronella, eucalyptus. strong and sweet; a little odd.
TA: heavy grass, hoppy, hairspray.
FEEL: light to medium body, good carbonation, astringent.
OA: a lot to like, but just over strong in certain areas that are not strengths.

Poured from a can dated 10/8/20. Thoughtful labels, with discussion-prompting questions and quotes on racial justice. Good beer too!
Cloudy straw yellow with a fine head.
Lots of tropical fruits in aromas and flavors. Mango, pineapple, grapefruit and citrus. Light malt base, smooth body and low bitterness with a slightly sharp finish.
Overall very tasty, definitely glad I picked it up.

Beer with a purpose and a point to make.
Not pretty, like the difficult subject pointed out. Dense and milky looking puss yellow beer with a low white head and very little lace. Well carbonated as a head kicks up upon swirling.
Aroma is interesting - white sugar and tangerines - but not obnoxiously citrus dominated - hints of malt and toasted grains blending in with herbal hop notes that keep it, as stated, interesting and unique with some whiffs of candied pineapple and apricot .
The flavor is surprisingly beery - not the flood of citric alpha acids and fresh squeezed grapefruit so ubiquitous in NEIPA's.
I can't even say it's "soft" in it's bittering hops which is for me, unacceptable in any 2XIPA. Solid hop flavors wrap the tongue in tangy, fruity almost tart sharpness but are somewhat supported by a malt body that barely fails to stand up to the hop assault.
Body is medium-lite with initial heft and volume but fades abruptly to a long and lingering, mildy bitter hop finish.
A beer worth a try for both it's invitation to difficult conversations and it's unique and welcome take on the NEIPA style.

Poured from a can (08Oct2020) into a Teku
L: pours a nice very hazy yellow orange, slightly creamy/milky, with a moderate white head. Head fades after a couple minutes, leaves moderate lacing (same with each sip)
S: ah that’s a great nose. Big, assertive tropical notes with some nice citrusy character to help balance it out. Get lots of mango, peach/apricot, pineapple, papaya, orange, grapefruit. Nice and smooth aroma overall, certainly inviting
T: follows the nose well, getting that nice mix of tropical fruit with some orange notes close behind. There’s a bit of this vegetal/earthy character that I like, trying to recall the hops used in this. Finish could be a bit longer
F: medium+ body, medium carbonation, fairly smooth, very drinkable
O: a solid NEIPA from a brewery that knows how to make them. Overall it’s great, just lacks that special something to bring it to the next level

Pours a cloudy light straw color, ample foamy head. Big, dank aroma with some lemony citrus in the background. Flavor is citrusy - I get lemon, mango, guava, great dank flavor on the finish that compliments the sweetness. Carbonation is appropriate. Overall a really great DIPA, glad I bought it.
