Pours into a stemmed tulip glass a light to medium golden with a slight orange tinge,a blooming sticky white head atop.Slight funk and Belgian yeast stand out most in the nose with a bit of chalkiness and lemon peel.Same as the aromas on the palate yeasty with a chalk-like element,it's dry as all get out with a pretty bitter finish. It's drinkable as all get out with the dryness but it's not overly complex.

Foggy golden with a big head, poured from a 750ml bottle - which had a loud cork pop. Tangy citrus smell, just a little funky. Taste is sweet - a little tropical fruit but rather neutral so hard to pick an actual corresponding fruit, some hops bitterness in aftertaste. Mouthfeel is juicy with a little carbonation bite. Overall, a somewhat interesting brew that does not have any big faults but also doesn't have any big strong points. So you might want to try it for your own opinion, or perhaps it will become more interesting with age or another brewing batch.

I'm not sure where the "Trappist style" comes from because there is absolutely nothing Trappist about this beer. It's bitter and dry. Not in the nice west coast IPA way, but in the someone messed up. if you're looking for an extremely IPA-like light golden ale, this is for you. The name is misleading. Transmitter is just a disappointment from what I've had.

Citrusy hops with a great sessionable base. Love it.
