Tall, undated bottle, aged and corked, purchased at the source a week or two ago.
Pours a nice glowing shade of ruby, quickly departing cap, and leaving just a hint of low lacing.
Complex nose with fruit, wood, yeasty funkyness.
Fruity, medium sour/tart, funk/earthy/ yeasty....complex and delicious creation....went well with a peppery salad and some blue cheese. Love the stuff these guys create....well worth seeking out

this is a cool beer, really really sour, far more acidic than anything else i have had from transmitter in the past, and definitely a bottle i am glad to be sharing, but i like it a lot, zinfandel grapes, tons of oak, a heavy floral almost perfume element too, like hibiscus or something, traces of lime and slate minerals, along with white and red wine characteristics, yellow plum, and even vanilla. its complex to say the least, and i like it better and better as it warms up, rose water, champagne, some tannins from the grapes, a lot of funk too, even though its the lactic acidity that defines this one for me, super intense and sharp, lingering, even making my tongue a bit raw. i like the flavor a lot, the grapes are forward and delicious, distinctly zinfandel. a little less carbonation than i was hoping for, not as nicely bottle conditioned as i have come to expect from these guys, it feels a little flat. the acidity is a bit much after awhile too, but the flavor of this beer is awesome, and i have come to love what these guys do. this is cool wild beer, sure to age well too, i cant get enough from transmitter right now! super cool little place to visit too.

L: Pours a turbid dark orange-copper with tinges of pink at first, but as you get deeper into the bottle it becomes a reddish-pink and eventually closer to a plum-purple. Has a quickly dissipating massive pinkish head with constant streams of tiny bubbles emerging throughout the glass.
S: Vinous and musty with notes of Granny Smith apples, berries, some earthy musky Brett yeast and a hint of oak that opens up more over time. Tons of grape must. A little bit of dextrinous malt, akin of a Flanders Red, holding everything together. Really complex with many contrasting aromas.
T: Vinous and tannic; the wine grapes and oak really pull through on the palate. Not particularly tart, more fruity and earthy with a bit of toasted oak. Very dry finish, a bit fruity but also pretty clean. Complex yet light.
F: Light with very lively, fizzy carbonation, perhaps too much so. Feel is dry and bit tannic.
Overall: An exceptional funky vinous saison that keeps the wild character in check, yielding clean yet fruity, subtly oaky and highly drinkable beer.

My first beer by Transmitter and definitely not the last! Fruit and funk on the nose. Smooth, crisp, and drinkable. Brett, Brett, and more Brett! Oh, and some grape too...! Love this beer- such a treat.

The beer comes in a dark reddish pink, and onto a much darker color, maroon, at the end of the bottle.
The aroma offers berries, floral, grape, Brett, earthy, white bread.
The flavor hits of grape and berry flavor, lots of tiny bubbled carbonation. Lots tannic throughout along with Brett. A dry beer with a clean finish, but the lingering oak and Brett makes the beer more inviting.
A hugely complex saison that is on par with Shaun Hill's productions.

A: The beer is slightly hazy reddish pink in color (a little darker in color than a rosé wine). It poured with a quarter finger-high pink head that died down, leaving a pillow of bubbles in the center, a collar around the edge, and a thin layer of bubbles in between.
S: Light aromas of yeast are present in the nose along with some hints of musty grapes.
T: The taste has flavors of rosé wine along with notes of yeast and hints of oak. It starts tasting a little more like a saison once the beer warms up and the yeast becomes a little stronger.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a nice saison to try if you like rosé wine or a more subdued red wine barrel aged beer. It is quite easy to drink and the Zinfandel grapes and oak complement, but not overwhelm the beer.
