My first beer from the brewery, but I'm hoping for good things. I enjoy seeing breweries expirement with fermentation. Especially when distributed to NJ.

Pours a brilliantly clear deep gold that is nearly amber. Pale off white head thins out to a thin bead. The scent has some Brett funk that gives an earthy rustic character. Nice fruity character that is distinctly apricot. No mixing it for a fruity hop aroma. All rich over ripe fruit.

The taste backs off a little on the Brett earthiness and provides a mild tart flavor. Certainly sour, but far from puckering. The fruit comes through loud and clear midway and melds well with a tart, yet not quite bone dry finish. Mouthfeel is light, but keeps from being thin due to the ample and lively carbonation.

All around great beer. The deft hand using the fruit, Brett and mild tart flavors keeps everything well balanced. I look forward to trying more from this brewery.

Poured from 750 ml bottle into a tulip glass.

The beer pours a slightly cloudy yellow orange with one and a half fingers of head that slowly dissipate, leaving not much lacing behind. The nose begins with notes of stone fruit, followed by a noticeable acidity that pierces the nostrils, fruity funk, a slight mustiness, and some apple as well. When I taste it, the first thing I notice is an assertive but balanced tartness. This is followed by apricot, though it is by no means overpowering and works well with the brett. That gives way to wet hay and mustiness, then citrus zest, and it ends with a complimentary bitterness. The mouthfeel is dry, "spritzy," and crisp. Overall, a very nice sour that I would definitely drink again if not for the limited availability and high price.
