Amber color. Big, off-white head. Caramel malt, raisins, plums, and candy sugar in the aroma. Moderately sweet, malty taste with yeasty/fruity notes. Not bad.

Decanted from an 16.9 oz (500 ml), caged and corked bottle into a snifter; released and purchase in 2020.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, copper with ochre highlights. Robust, wheat colored head formation with a two finger head, but rim retention and little prolonged lacing.
S: Tart/tangy nose. Aromas of cherry wood, cocoa, banana and caramel (not quite molasses) predominate.
T: Sweet and tart, subtly on both counts. Caramel, more banana, cherry wood and toast definitely predominate. I m picking up raisin, fig, and molasses notes. Bitterness entirely in balance.
M: Medium bodied with robust carbonation throughout the consumption. Clean finishing with pleasantly sweet aftertaste.
O: A delicious Dubbel. Complex, subtle, fun: dare I say highly drinkable. Glad I had it for Thanksgiving 2020.

The beer comes in a dark amber ruby color.
The beer offers candied fruits with figs, dates, a rich malty sweetness, with mostly fruit esters dominating. There’s a medium plus carbonation with a smooth medium body. An exceptional American made Belgian style. It hits targets of maltiness, mouthfeel, and dark fruit without being overly spicy or unbalanced.
