The last couple of gose beer I have opened erupted, this did not. Never heard of this brewing company, but I enjoy gose beers. Bought this beer on a whim to try. Poured into a wheat glass at 44 degrees. A two finger billowy white head tops the beer. The head has good retention and leaves no lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 3 a straw color with yellow hues. The clarity of the beer is hazy, probably from the yeast. The beer does present with carbonation bubbles on the sides of the glass.
Nose:
A vibrant sour note with salt, stone fruit, citrus, yeast/cracker, and a lightly toasted malt for the aromas. The labels said there is coriander in the beer, but I just a get hint of herbal.
Taste: Masterfully intertwined the salt sea air in this beer. The bright sour note is citrus with a vinegar note. The stone fruit lends a supporting role. The gentle yeast/cracker with a lightly toasted makes this beer complete.
The mouthfeel of the beer is crisp, clean, and refreshing. The body of the beer is light, medium-high carbonation, and the finish is medium.
A dynamic sour profile in this gose is profound. The sourness is not overly pungent nor soft. The beer is refreshing and tasty.
Wow, the balance of this beer is incredible. A fantastic gose.
