16oz can served in a pokal pilsner glass. Canned 05/02/16 - additional date code 11:3423.
Appearance: Hazy pale gold with an initial 1/4" rocky white head. Some initial islands of lacing, but later some large islands and sheets of lacing noted.
Smell: Not a lot of aroma. A bit of metal (copper) and some citrus notes.
Taste: Quite hoppy for the style. Bitter up front and at the finish with a mix of noble hops and lemon citrus bitterness. There is something of an American hop flavor to this beer. The noble hops are there, but the citrus is much more pronounced than I'm used to in this style. Malt is mostly masked by the hops. It's just there underneath it all - cracker like mostly.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, not fizzy. Good carbonation and thickness.
Overall / Drinkability: So part of me likes this beer overall, but it's not a good match for the style of this beer. Or at least it's not like any German pilsner I've had. The hops are too citrus forward, and it comes across as more of a Czech pilnser than a German one. But I do like the hops and the bitterness, and this beer pairs quite well with food (supper onion pie + HP sauce). One can is enough though. I'm not inclined to have another can in an evening. So overall, a good beer, but I wouldn't classify it as a German pilsner. As for drinkability - tasty, but a bit of a sipping beer and again, one is enough.

16 oz can poured into a pint glass.
Pours a beautiful golden color with minimal head but alot of lacing.
The smell is typical, with no over powering aroma.
Wonderful taste with no particular flavor standing out.
I enjoy a good pils and this is definitely one to drink again!

Holy moly, is this a spicily hopped pilsner or what.
Clear gold, minimal head.
A little straw and wheat on the nose, with a shocking amount of hops.
Not what I expected. Unique, but not sure it works.
Need to give this one another whirl.
