I am not the biggest Scotch Ale fan but I found myself in Dayton so, what the heck. Medium head over a nice deep caramel color beer. Good aroma and nice balanced taste with that characteristic sweet smoky final note. I was happy that the caramel was not overdone but lent a nice roundness to the flavor. I think it was a well crafted beer and I would have no hesitation trying other examples from the brewery
