12oz can, canned on 14:40:44 10/26/17. Served in a Samuel Smith pint glass.

Appearance: Translucent golden yellow-to amber. Initial 1/4" rocky head died back to a persistent 1/16" thick white head, with plenty of fine sheets and strands of persistent lacing.

Smell: Orange peel, vanilla, white chocolate.

Taste: Orange zest up front, then bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, and a lightly bitter finish. There is a bit of a wit wheat tang/graininess under it all, which fits given the label stating that this is a white ale base.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, but surprisingly thin.

Overall / Drinkability: A very interesting take on a Wit-style, and combining these sweet flavors with it works, but I find I didn't want another in one evening. I think this would pair well with food - either sugar cookies or cake, and it might even pair with some savory dishes, although I'm not sure about that.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This rather nice odd little ale
pours a luminous chill hazed amber with a moderate head of white foam that subsides
to a thick ring, thin wispy pool, and shows scant lacing. Nose of orange zest, confectioners
cream (AKA Opera cream), powdered sugars (!?) and honey. Flavors surprise with light milk
chocolate notes tossed into a hopper with powdered sugar and cream (as in opera cream)
with medium heavy orange zest dancing about a veil of light honey malt. Decent mouth feel;
medium light body, medium light carbonation, and a sweet finish.

Overall a decent little brew which as notes shows lot's of similarity with an orange cream
pop. That said it is a decent change from the standard over spiced Christmas ales out there.

Cheers

12 ounce can, packaged on 10/31/17. Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours a cloudy golden/orange color with about an inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like an orange creamsickle (vanilla, orange), with white chocolate and grainy/bready malt also noticeable. It tastes like the aroma for the most part, and also some herbalness. More than anything else, I just get an orange creamsickle flavor. The other flavors are there, but I just keep thinking orange creamsickle when I'm drinking this. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, worth picking up some! $11.99 a 4-pack.

This is probably my favorite style that they have done so far with this beer. A Winter White Ale with Chocolate and Vanilla Cream. The was overwhelmingly of vanilla with the chocolate coming in the finish. Very smooth to drink and a great taste.
