12.7 FL OZ bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours brown with some ruddy highlights. A fleeting head leaves no trace that it ever existed.
It has a sweet caramel aroma. I get some booze. I get wafts of chocolate and vanilla.
The initial flavor is sweet. Then I get a harsh booze flavor that carries into the finish. I get caramel and vanilla.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
It sounded great. I love bourbon barrel aged wee heavies. The booziness of this one was a distraction. It was okay, but I surely wouldn't shell out the bucks for another one. It wasn't cheap.

12.7 oz bottle, served in a snifter.
Appearance: Cloudy copper color. Off white head died back fairly quickly, but left a thin ring at the edge. Some small strands and islands of lacing that slowly slid back down the glass.
Smell: Bourbon, caramel, butter, and just a hint of burnt paraffin / candle wax.
Taste: Sweet, some caramel notes, and bourbon bite/whiskey taste at the finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, prickly carbonation, warming from the bourbon.
Overall / Drinkability: The bourbon barrel aged version is definitely better than the non-barrel aged version, which I did not like. The Wee Heavy aspect is completely hidden under all the other flavors, and bourbon tempers the caramel flavors that I didn't enjoy in the non-aged version. A good sipping beer....but seems like it still needs to be paired with something. I'm thinking a cheesecake or some type of heavier dessert that the bourbon and sweetness of this beer would complement.

2019 vintage (I think it was released a month or 2 ago), 12.7 ounce red wax capped bottle. Thanks to my friend Denis for picking this up for me at the release party! Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours a murky brown color with about a half inch light tan head. Hear retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and some sea salt. I think the taste pretty much is just like the aroma, but there's also some bready malt and smoky flavors noticeable too. Mostly sweet tasting but not overpoweringly so. Wish this had a little more barrel character, but that's not a really a complaint in this case. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Glad I got to try this one, I wouldn't mind getting another bottle at some point!
