Dayton lore has it that the Flying Heads were legendary undead monsters from the Iroquois and Wyandot Indian Tribes. The winged heads appeared huge and disembodied with fiery eyes and an empty, soulless expression. They flew through the air, pursuing humans to chase and devour. Now it’s time to turn the table. Flying Heads Dubbel Pumpkin Ale is aged in rum barrels. It pours a ruby red with brown highlights. Experience fall flavors of cinnamon, coriander, allspice, and pumpkin. Devour yours today.

375 ml bottle, 2020 vintage. Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours a murky dark reddish/brown color with a thin 1/4 inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing, either. I like the aroma, the brew smells like rum, vanilla, cinnamon, raisin and allspice. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some woody and coriander flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick with a very, very low amount of carbonation. Wish the carb on this was amped up, as it hurt the drinkability for me. I thought this was a decent enough brew, worth a try if you come across some.
