When night falls, spirits rise. A ghostly figure, a redheaded woman, drifts the city tracks, eternally lost. The anguish of the departed, a man who impaled himself on an orchestra pit chair, chills a historic theater. Forlorn howls and scraping claws - wolves, buried with their owner, alive - seep from a nearby mausoleum. CreepShow Smoked Porter is aged in Bourbon Barrels. Smoky. Malty. Rich, deep and Dark as Dayton without a moon

Vintage 2020 bottle from the brewery.
Dark brown with a thin khaki head, fair retention.
Faint smoke aroma and roasted malt.
Taste of smoke and roasted malt is more intense than the nose suggests.
Smoke turns more into a charred chocolate in the finish.
Nice thick patches of lacing.
I enjoyed this one!

375 ml bottle, 2020 vintage. Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with around an inch tan head that stuck around for a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like smoked malt, vanilla, bourbon, cocoa and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some molasses and burnt/charred malt flavors. I think the smokiness does overpower the barrel somewhat, but that's really not a complaint. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Overall I thought this was good, pretty sure I liked this version more than the base beer. Certainly worth picking up if you find any! Purchased this at the brewery this past weekend but I believe they ship all over Ohio.
