Made with lactose and our Kitchen Manager Beto's abuela's mole recipe (cacao nibs, raisins, coffee, anise, cinnamon, clove, coriander, and ancho/pasilla/mulatta chilis) - this beer blends the heritage of Mexican cuisine with modern craft beer.

From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This unique stout pours a pitch black with a nice head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring, thick layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose
of clove. coriander, cinnamon, subtle tequila, herbal notes, smoke, dark
bakers chocolate, and subtle dark coffee. Flavors hit the mark with dark
coffee, coriander, clove, cinnamon, tequila, smoke, char, dark bakers
chocolate, and dark raisin bread. Mouth feel is medium full teetering on
full, light yet effervescent carbonation, smooth, lightly coating, and finishing
nicely balanced with a hint of chili pepper warmth (only apparent with warmth
by the way).
Overall, a solid unique brew experience.
Cheers

500 ml bottle, label says brewed November 24, 2020, aged 6 months in Mezcal barrels, bottle conditioned June 30, 2021. Purchased at the brewery a couple months or so ago. Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stayed around for a really, really long time. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cacao, raisins, cinnamon, smoke, dark fruit, clove and coriander. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some coffee, Mezcal, chilies and earthy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and a bit slick with a good amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was a good brew, and definitely worth trying if you're into Mezcal barrel aged brews. I liked this when I had it on tap at Warped Wing a while back, wish I would have bought another bottle or 2 of this!
