Baltic Porter aged two years in Applejack Whiskey barrels. Dark. Bold. Sweet. Applejack Whiskey.
In 1850, impassioned artisans created stunning hand-carved chairs at the Stomps-Burkhardt Company in Dayton. Many of these prized pieces featured ornate faces based on Greek and Roman mythology. These chairs are now highly sought after by collectors. Today, craft beer aficionados have something to add to their own collections. Barrel Aged Baltic Porter. Smell a bouquet of roasted coffee with a mild caramel sweetness. Taste dark malt flavors, roasted coffee, chocolate and vanilla complimented by hints of toffee and bready notes. Now ease back. Close your eyes. Embrace the past. Then savor the present.

From the 12.7 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers Dude!
This beefy brew pours a dark murky blackish brown with dark tea highlights
and a modest fizzling head of foam that is poof----gone, no ring, nothing.
Nose of mulled apples, bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate fudge, caramel,
and moderate char. Flavors hit the mark with bourbon, oak, vanilla, dash of soy
sauce, dark chocolate fudge, brown sugar, stewed apple, and subtle char and deep
roasted goodness. Mouth feel is full, smooth, slick, coating, rich, warming, near
zero carbonation, and a lightly dry apple touched finish.
Overall, a nice variation in the BBA family.
Cheers

12.7 ounce bottle, 2022 vintage. Served in a Warped Wing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a thin quarter inch head that fizzled away quickly. Pretty much no lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, applejack whiskey and chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some coffee, berries, dark bread and roasted malt flavors noticeable too. Pick up a good amount of Applejack in both the aroma and taste which is a good thing! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and smooth with a lower amount of carbonation. I liked this one, maybe not quite as much as I do the original Baltic/Baltic Argonaut but it's still a tasty Baltic Porter. Certainly worth picking up, especially if you're into Applejack Whiskey barrel aged brews!
