Nice coconut flavor, but ultimately there’s something hollow about it.

12.7 ounce bottle, missed out on the release party this year but thanks to my buddy Denis for giving me a bottle! Served in an Esther's Li'l Secret chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coconut, cream, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and some roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with not quite as much of an overall flavor kick as the aroma led me to believe. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, did like the coconut flavor in this one although I wish the bourbon character was stronger. Certainly worth picking up if you get the chance!
