Notes of honey, creme brûlée, and fig come forward with mild oak notes in the aroma and finish. Smooth and almost brandy-like, it's a sipper! Bottle conditioned 7 months.

Bought in a 12.7 oz bottle from the Warped Wing Huber Heights taproom.
Pours a dark golden color with some haze. Off-white head formed, then quickly dissipated, but strong carbonation bubbles rose through the beer until the glass was drained. Strong bread and caramel in the nose, with some oak and grape. Caramel, dried fruit and bread make up the flavors, along with some oxidized notes like cardboard. In this style that is not offensive and actually adds to it. Medium to heavy body with full carbonation. Low hops bitterness, but strong alcohol warmth helps cut through the sweetness, keeping it from become mouth-coating.
This complex, off-sweet beer is very nice, but may not be for everybody. With the arguably excess caramel and oxidation it reminds me of oloroso sherry, and I find it delicious!
