Served on tap at the brewery’s Mason location in a 16-oz tumbler.
Look: Dark brown, with just an off-white foam cap with finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Cooked brown sugar over roasted malt.
Attack: Mostly mild roasted malt.
Finish: Very slight bitterness.
Mouthfeel: A little thinner than I might have expected, adequate carbonation.
Overall: While not terrifically deep in flavor (as compared, for instance, to a Samuel Smith’s Taddy Porter), still very drinkable.
