Not my usual caffeine fix in the morning, but I’ll take it. My first thought is hair of the dog for the morning after but let’s have a sip first.

A pale ale indeed, sort of a straw yellow to pale gold colour. The brew has a white head, packed densely with tiny bubbles. Aromas were at first tropical and fruity but having a few other intakes I could get the coffee but not nearly as strong as I thought it would be. Where you might expect to find roasted smell, it was more of a natural process coffee aroma of vibrant fruit.
In the flavour, I found much of the same. Lots of tropical notes and fruit with a hint of coffee. The coffee flavour is more of a cold drip here so slightly sweet but tastes natural. A citrus tang just at the end before falling off into the aftertaste. A crisp end to it all with a balanced feel and refreshing experience.
Nothing like I expected, clearly Batch is going for the fruity aspect from the Single Origin Ethiopian beans. Suits nicely in a pale ale.
Cheers
