15 IBU. Take in the view. There's nothing quite like the view from the top. An homage to the wild raspberries that grow along the trail, this lager's berry notes are an ideal match for savouring the view.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From their Adventure Collection boxset at my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. No date stamp or lot number. My 10th beer from the Cobden, Ontario brewery; 3rd for 2026. With one of my best friends, Gracie the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO, one of several new fruity light beers included in Whitewater's Adventure Collection mixed pack. Dated May 5 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours clear and effervescent, with three fingers of billowing, foamy white head erupting from the surface; it disintegrates within five minutes' time, replaced with a rocky cap and sudsy collar. Decent speckling of lace, too - looks ok, but the total lack of pinkish hues is at least a little disappointing. Surprisingly bland aroma of cereal grains and corn chips, with muted hints of macerated raspberries.
In terms of flavour, the raspberries do come through a little better, but it's still underwhelming. Hints of raspberry, cereal grains and corn chips, with suggestions of raspberry-flavoured seltzer fading into the finish; corny-sweet aftertaste with faint berry. Light in body, with aggressive carbonation that froths up in the mouth - annoying at first, but the bubbles wear themselves out quickly enough, resulting in a smooth, more enjoyable experience as the session goes on.
Final Grade: 3.34, a B-. Whitewater's Vantage Point is serviceable if you're seeing it solely as a light beer, but the raspberry factor is disappointing, to say the least. I mean, I guess I get it - fruits are sugary, and sugar adds calories, so dumping too many berries into the vat is not ideal for a light beer. I guess this just isn't for me, as I prefer my raspberry beers to be juicy and flavourful... this is too subtle. In fact, I'd rather drink a plain light beer than be teased like this!
