(5 oz draft pour in a straight-sided cylinder glass at the brewery an hour ago... review copied from notes)
notes (edited): barrel-aged stout, but what type of barrel?! - not bourbon... has a peculiar creme de mure note in the finish... medium body and bouncy... not terribly char-roasty, more light-roast coffee in its character
etc: a strange barrel-aged stout indeed (I didn't seek more info from the bartenders; last beer of the day, ready to call it a night)... it drank really mellow for the abv, little-to-no overt heat... the head fizzled away when served; fairly dark brown near black color... maybe a hint of asphalt tar or black ashy licorice on the nose; no booze for sure... another one I wish I would've ordered a larger glass of and/or taken more time with it... certainly unique (2379)
NOTE: this review is for state #50 (51, if counting DC)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
