Bottled summer 2015; drank 7/25/15 @ the Palace.
Murky orange/red appearance.
HUGE off-white head (careful pouring!); decent lace.
Strawberry, wheat & faint pickle juice notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild raspberry & faint ganja flavors up front; strong pickle juice finish, which mars this considerably. Too bad.

Looking at this beer, I thought it'd be awesome, but in truth a little disappointing. It was an enticing reddish, copper in the glass, with an inch of beige foam that dropped quickly into the glass, but leaving a solid sheet of sea foam on the sides of the glass. Unfortunately, the aroma is of very sweet raspberries and ..... very sweet raspberries. It over powers everything. The taste is sweet with raspberries, fruit astringency, and a hint of hop bitterness, finishing with a dryness from the alcohol. Some oiliness from the hops coat the tongue, and it has a medium weight, but that's not enough to save this beer.

Self disclosure -- I am not a fruit and beer gal. And this had very forward raspberry nose and taste -- in fact would have been better with less in your face raspberry and more integrated with the hops which did, in fact, end quite nicely.

A nice base double IPA and the addition of the raspberries moderates the hop bite a bit
