Lemon Shandy. Our house witbier recipe blended with all natural lemonade. As the days get longer and the temperatures climb in Eastern PA we reach for something a little more refreshing. Described as “crushable” at 4.4% ABV, this unfiltered witbier pours hazy with a fluffy head. Expect bright citrus aromas with just a touch of sweetness. This is the perfect post ride or run beer.

Real big on Lemon Shandy's they can be quite refreshing my favorite is Samuel Adams porch rocker. Lets see how this one stacks up! Pour is very similar to the peach very bubbly getting two fingers of foam that settle back to a nice lace ring. Beer itself again is a light beer yellow. Smell is pungent wow in your face lemonade like Simply but a little more timid in the glass more rind and some of that sweet pilsner smell. Definitely more lemon rind bitterness and fresh squeezed tart lemon to a bit of sweet corn from the pilsner malt but I guess I expected a bit more sweetness to balance its lemon juice additive. Kind of reminds me of Summer Shandy by Leinenkugel but I paid way too much for it.
As a natural beer with lemon juice added its a winner but I will stick to my porch rocker because it taste more like a good beer brewed with an actual lemonade.

Not a Shandy lover, but this one delivered, probably the best U.S. Shandy I've had. Easy drinking, quenching with plenty of natural lemon flavor. These guys just don't know how to make bad beer.
