16oz can served in a snulip. I think the date is 08192022.
Pours dark black with a lively carbonation at start that settles into a lumpy skin and a thickish ring, unusually dark in color. Lots of carbonation. Smell is dark roast coffee, dark toast, some dark chocolate.
Taste is assertive but not oppressive. More in the coffee and chocolate zone, and more than a little bit of anise. Slight nutty sweetness.
Mouthfeel is a bit thicker than I would have expected, probably the oatmeal's effect. Overall, nice beer.

Solid,motor oil appearance.
Medium light carbonation with an above average body.
Aroma is roasted malt, some black coffee, toasted almost burnt oatmeal with a very mild amount of dark fruit and malt. Overall an excellent aroma for an oatmeal stout.
Taste has a very mild dark fruit sweetness which quickly is taken over by a dry bitterness. Otherwise the taste doesn't stray far from the aroma.
This was an excellent, flavorful well done oatmeal stout that I would definitely look for again.

Very dark, looks like dirty motor oil pouring into the big Stout glass. Just the barest hint of sweetness, all dark grain flavor. Not too burnt tasting but very dry and quite bitter, which lingers in the aftertaste. There is an interesting aroma, though, of roasted malt.
For some reason I like this less than a lot of other Stouts. Seems like it would benefit from more maltiness to go with the oatmeal style, rather than the bitter, austere Irish style. From the 16 oz can shipped from StormBreaker. Canned 12/10/2020.
