Pours a clear amber with rings of foam in the tall nonic. Sprightly and sudsy on the tongue with a spicy taste. Described as a rye witbier, it doesn't seem to have the usual Wit flavorings but rather a distinct Belgian yeasty taste. It is rather sweet with the dry finish. Fruity with a touch of citrus.
Hops are listed as Aramis and Mistral, both French varieties, plus a variety of grains. This is one of the most intriguing beers I've had in a long time. Maybe it would be better to call this a Witbier. The yeasty taste gets a little old but otherwise quite sippable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Healthy Spirits. Dated 10/15/21.
