12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/23/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slight dryness from lingering bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/creamy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice hoppy wheat ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink. Pretty juicy feeling on hop/yeast notes; balanced malts without feeling too sweet. A very enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle, 7% ABV, bottled on 09/23/2016, Batch #121. Served in a Leinenkugels Sunset Wheat glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold/amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like wheat/grainy malt, herbal hops and some stone fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some grassiness and a bit of orange. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought it was an enjoyable enough brew, probably would be a better summer beer for me. $2.29 for a single bottle.

Bought a six of Zaftig's Hootspa from the beer store just around the corner. It poured a copper clear with white head that is not leaving much of a lace. The scent has a faint hint of citrus. The taste has a bitter lean with alcohol presence. It's not an easy beer to drink but it's ok. The Mouthfeel is medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's a good beer but probably won't buy another six in the near future as there are others I want to try.
