12 ounce bottle, back label says bottled on 9/2018, Batch 239, Sumatra Nut. Served in a Zaftig snifter, the beer pours a cloudy dark brown color with about a half inch light tan head that didn't stay around for too long. There's a small amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like nuts/pecans, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, raisins and some toasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some toffee and fig. Nice balance between the sweet, malty nutty flavors and the roasty bitter coffee ones. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this a lot, definitely worth picking up if you come across some! $3.99 a bottle.

From a growler via Jungle Jim's in a snifter. This is fine brown ale pours a
murky dark brown color with a moderate head of off white foam that settles to
a thin ring and shows some nice subtle lacing with each sip. Nose of brown sugars,
nutty malt notes, subtle booze, and dark fruit notes of mulled cherries and light peach....
almost a barley wine nose if I may say. Flavors hit a perfect chord with brown sugars
and mild roasted nuts showing themselves on the sides of the taste. Light peach and
subtle cherry arise on the rear with warming alcohol and a ever present brown sugar
flavor. Excellent mouth feel; medium full body, medium light carbonation, and a lightly
slick feel that is lightly coating and sweet on the finish.
A FANTASTIC brown ale if I might say, and while it does contain pecans which I pray do
not adversely interact with my allergies it is excellent, almost a barley wine note with a
Scottish sweet mildness that is more than welcome this chilly Saturday. English style with
pizazz. Excellent.
Cheers
