We put together a stout heavy on the chocolate malt, added about 11 pounds of cocoa nibs and finished with a natural raspberry puree to bring together a silky smooth and complex chocolate taste with a nice tart raspberry nose and finish.

I wasn’t sure I would like this one as I typically don’t like fruited stouts. My wife wanted it so…
A really nice stout with just a smidge of tart berry to balance it nicely. Mouthfeel is coating but in a soft, creamy way. Smell is really nice as well. I am really impressed by this one. Glad she wanted this and will definitely revisit again.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket! Cheers Dude!
This solid little stout pours a rugged blackish brown with a nice
head of off white khaki foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin layer,
and sports some nice lacing. Nose of raspberry jam, dark bakers cocoa,
faint char, and sweet dark malts. Flavors follow the nose nicely with
a balanced raspberry jam and dark cocoa mingling with touches
of coffee and light char amidst layers of dark malt notes. Nice mouth
feel; medium full verging on a full body, smooth, coating, rich without
being cloying, and finishing with a bitter malt / cocoa / fruit note
that is medium dry from the raspberry.
An excellent example of the style from one of my favorite
breweries in Columbus bar none! Seek this one out!
A desert like stout that is not overbearing but still
a nice equal of the sum of it's parts.
Excellent!
Cheers

Look: Pours dark brown, almost black but with a hint of rust/red (obviously the raspberry puree).
Smell: A mix of chocolate and raspberries. The ABV is masked out surprisingly well, and no scent is overpowering.
Taste: While some Raspberry Stouts tend to be overpowering or artificial-tasting, Razzy Galore strikes a nice balance between a traditional stout and a fruit enhanced variant. The chocolate notes and raspberry puree compliment each other very nicely.
Feel: As an Imperial Stout, I was expecting a heavy dessert type beer that I would grow tired of halfway through. But I thought it was extremely easy to sip on with a somewhat light mouthfeel. It was nice that afterwards, I didn't feel like I just drank a full meal, quite refreshing.
Overall: Another solid beer from Zaftig. I'm happy that it's becoming more widely available in Northeast Ohio!

12 ounce bottle, bottled 2/20, Batch 330 or 339 as the stamp on the label is blurry and hard to read. Served in a Zaftig snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like raspberry jam and cocoa along with some roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, with tart raspberry, raspberry jam, dark chocolate and some roasted malt. Smells sweeter than it tastes. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable stout, not quite what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised by the tart raspberry and dark chocolate flavors. Definitely worth picking up, I know I'd like to try this again in the future! $14.99 a 4-pack.
